Kraftvoller und dynamischer Heavy Metal, inspiriert durch die klassischen Bands der „goldenen 80er“: Dafür stehen FIRST TIME IN HELL aus Dortmund. Die Gründungsmitglieder Thilo Henke (vocals), Stephan Tillmann (guitar), Kai Täuber (bass) und Christoph Thiele (drums) waren größtenteils bereits seit den 1990er Jahren Freunde und musikalische Weggefährten, als man sich Anfang Juni 2011 schließlich zusammenfand, um als FIRST TIME IN HELL die Liebe zum klassischen 80er-Metal auszuleben. Nach wenigen Monaten stieß Florian Thiele hinzu, der fortan für Organisation, Logistik, Management und die Abmischung des Livesounds zuständig sein sollte. Somit war das Line Up komplett.

Die folgenden Jahre verbrachten die Mitglieder mit dem Entwickeln von Eigenkompositionen, die nach und nach in den Set der Band einflossen und im Rahmen diverser Livegigs in Dortmund, Schwerte, Kamen und Lünen einem begeisterten Publikum vorgestellt wurden. Druckvolle kreative Gitarrenriffs, rasante und hochmelodische Soli, ein schlagkräftig-solides, aber immer ideenreiches Fundament aus Bass und Drums, und sorgfältig ausgearbeitete Texte, die von der kraftvollen Stimme Thilo Henkes getragen werden: Das sind die Zutaten des facettenreichen Songrepertoires von FIRST TIME IN HELL. Dieses umfasst neben den brachial treibenden Rockern “No Decency“, “Morlocks“ und “First Time In Hell“ auch die epischen “Rising“ und “LZ-36“, das düster-melancholische  “Mask To Cover The Truth“ und die kraftvolle Halbballade “Things That Never Were“.

Schließlich begann man mit der Arbeit am selbstbetitelten Debütalbum, das nun kurz vor der Veröffentlichung steht, so dass die Musik von FIRST TIME IN HELL nicht nur über  schweißtreibende Liveshows, sondern endlich auch auf Tonträger den Fans des klassischen Heavy Metal nahe gebracht werden kann. 

Powerful and dynamic Heavy Metal, inspired by the classic bands from the ‚golden eighties‘: That’s what FIRST TIME IN HELL from Dortmund, Germany stand for. Founding members Thilo Henke (vocals), Stephan Tillmann (guitar), Kai Täuber (bass) and Christoph Thiele (drums) had been friends and musical companions ever since the 1990s at the most part when they finally joined forces in early June 2011 to live the love for classic 80s metal under the name of FIRST TIME IN HELL. A few months later Florian Thiele joined, who would be responsible for organisation, logistics, management and live mixing from then.

The following years were spent by the members with writing their own compositions which were added into the band’s set one after another and introduced to enthusiastic audiences at several live gigs in Dortmund, Schwerte, Kamen and Lünen. Forceful creative guitar riffs, fast and highly melodic solos, a bass and drum fundament which is punchy and solid yet always full of ideas, and carefully elaborated lyrics carried by the strong voice of Thilo Henke: These are the ingredients of FIRST TIME IN HELL’s multi-faceted repertoire of songs. Besides straight-in-your-face rockers “No Decency“, “Morlocks“ and “First Time In Hell“ it also contains epic tunes “Rising“ and “LZ-36“, the dark and melancholic “Mask To Cover The Truth“ as well as the powerful semi ballad “Things That Never Were“.

Finally the band started working on recording the self-titled debut album. At this point it is soon to be released so that the music of FIRST TIME IN HELL can be brought to the fans of classic heavy metal not only via sweat-inducing live shows, but finally also via record.
